Empty containers for graphophone wax-coated cardboard cylinders and a card game on display in the Bodie Museum and Visitors Center, one of fewer than 170 structures remaining in the ghost town of Bodie (less than 5% of the original buildings). Gold discovered here in 1859. Designated National Historic Landmark in 1961; 1962 it became Bodie State Historic Park. Bodie named California's official state gold rush ghost town.
