A shuttered window set into a wood wall in one of fewer than 170 structures remaining in the ghost town of Bodie; gold discovered here in 1859. Designated National Historic Landmark in 1961; 1962 it became Bodie State Historic Park. Bodie named California's official state gold rush ghost town. Historic District, California State Park.
