Zabriski Point. Named after Christian Brevoort Zabriskie, vice-president and general manager of the Pacific Coast Borax Company in the early 20th century whose iconic twenty-mule teams were used to transport borax from its mining operations in Death Valley. Death Valley National Monument Est. February 11, 1933. Est. as Death Valley National Park in 1994; 5,270 square miles (13,649 km2). Inyo County, CA.
